A new definition of infertility
The World Health Organization believes that infertility is no more exceptionally medical problem. It was explained earlier as the absence of children after 12 months of unprotected sexual intercourse of a couple.
Now the specialists claim, that the definition must become more detailed. The inability of finding appropriate partner for generation must be included here. Such people are meant to be invalids as well, as medical researches state. The WHO intends to offer a new standard for consideration in Health Ministries of the biggest countries of the world this year. The author of this idea David Adamson believes that this radical change will encourage people to generate despite they do not have a partner. Due to this the popularity of surrogacy, which is still forbidden in many countries, will increase sharply.
It is worthy of noting that some Western experts criticized this decision. The founder of the Comment on Reproductive Ethics Josephine Quintavalle says that this new definition ignores the importance of natural biological sexual intercourse between a man and a woman.
